But spend a little time at this charming farm in SoCal and you’ll quickly see another side of this corner of Southern California. Here’s a closer look at this delightful destination that everyone should visit at least once.


Looking to experience a slice of small-town America in Southern California? You'll find it right here at this charming farm that dates back to the early 1900s. As a living history farm, The Stein Family Farm and Museum captures a slice of what rural life was like in Southern California over 100 years ago.





The farm is open to the public every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Although there is no admission price to visit this farm, they do accept monetary donations. Volunteers who would like to donate their time to help with farm activities are also welcome. What types of things will you see and do on the Stein Family Farm? For starters, you'll be delighted by all of the animals roaming around on the local property. From pigs to ducks and even a fluffy sheep, you'll be enchanted by the farm animals who call this place home.





Not your typical tourist destination, this local farm is the kind of place that many people hear about through word of mouth. Hidden away in an industrial area in National City, you'd never guess this rural setting was here if you didn't know where to find it. During your visit, you'll have a chance to take a tour of the Victorian farmhouse and the 100-year old barn. Take a look around and you'll instantly be taken back to a simpler time. Inside the farmhouse you'll find old fashioned touches that capture all the charms of small town America.
